I had the J-Plasma in 12/2014. The results reduced lip lines, under eye lines and jowls. However, the treated areas were burned?

Hyperpigmentation can be improved with a combination of lasers, Aerolase, microneedling/prp, skin lightening, Cosmelan, peels, and skin care. Sun protection is essential. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with an expert. Best, Dr. Emer

So, just to clarify - does the skin treated by the J plasma have a lighter color and the untreated skin your prior normal color?
We can see this after full field resurfacing with CO2 lasers and J plasma and is called 'porcelain skin changes'. 
This is hard to treat, but as Dr. Emerick suggested- microneedling with PRP may help the treated skin.  Or as you Surgeon is trying- treat the untreated skin to make it lighter and match the J plasma treated skin.
