My doctor recommends the treatment for my entire face, especially targeting the "ex-smoker's" lines above my upper lip, and the acne scarring, wrinkling & large pores on my chin. I haven't seen any publicity on the treatment, is it new? The before & after photos of my Doctor's patients show fabulous results. I am 59 yrs old, and a redhead with very light skin. I've had 3 laser treatments on these areas already, with only slight improvement. Thank you in advance for your advice!
Answer: Coo Helium Resurfacing with J-Plasma Hello and thank-you for your question and photo. Cool Helium Resurfacing with J-Plasma ans is producing truly spectacular results. I would definitely recommend it. It is providing correction of fine lines and wrinkles much better in a single treatment than any other technology that we have available. I would recommend a consultation with a board-certified plastic surgeon well-versed in methods of skin resurfacing.Best regards, Andrew Lyos MD, Facs

Answer: Renuvion / J-Plasma for skin resurfacing Renuvion / J-Plasma is an emerging technique for skin resurfacing. It is good for your situation and can be used in addition to or instead of laser treatment (though not at the same time!). Other treatments can also help thicken and treat the skin. It is so important that you seek the advice of a surgeon who is certified by the american board of plastic surgery. I wish you the best,Dr. Gabbay.

Answer: J Plasma treatment Thank you for the question. This is a relatively new treatment and is not as widespread as other treatments and therefore there is not much in the press about it.It is showing some very good effects with respect to fine lines and wrinkles. The reaction is shrinking the musculocutaneous ligaments under the skin and this aids in quite extensive skin tightening. The effects are quite impressive and the results that surgeons are achieving are pushing more towards this form of treatment to aid lines and wrinkles.I hope this is of help to youBW

Answer: Cool Helium Plasma Resurfacing Cool Helium Plasma is a cutting edge technology that combines radio frequency energy with inert helium gas to create a plasma that can ablate tissue in a very precise fashion. Plastic surgeons are now using it to resurface facial skin with amazing results. CO2 laser resurfacing is often compared, but in my opinion they're not close. J-Plasma is safer, more precise, and effective in a single treatment compared to multiple treatments often required by lasers. It is ideal for Fitzpatrick 1s and 2s, with dyschromias, old acne scars, large pores, fine lines and wrinkles. Based on your photo and description, you appear to be a great candidate. In my practice I have stopped treating specific areas and now advise patients to treat the whole face, as the demarcation between treated and untreated skin is significant. Talk to your doctor about this. Also the healing time is prolonged. But on the back end, the results are more than amazing. I wish you the best!
