Is Bodytite safe to use on tattooed arms?

48-year-old female with significant weight loss, which has resulted in saggy loose creepy skin on upper arms. Bodytite seems to be a great procedure to fix this but I have full tattoos on each arm. Will Bodytite damage the tattoos?

I don't know if Bodytite is suitable for you or not, because there is no photo showing your condition. Bodytite is bipolar radiofrequency technology. It does not interact in any way with pigment processes on the skin surface such as tattoos. If your skin quality is suitable for the procedure, you can have it done

HI!  This is a great question.  In general, it is best to avoid treating tattoos, especially with the micro-needling (Morpheus 8) at the end of the procedure.  Unfortunately, the radiofrequency can damage the ink in your tattoos.  This does not mean that you cannot have Bodytite, but, in general, the provider will treat around the tattoos.  I recommend seeing your provider to evaluate if you are a candidate.  Good luck!

BodyTite can impact the appearance of your tattoos.  If the tattoos were small the provider could try to avoid the area, but since you stated that you had full tattoos on the arms it may be better to elect a different modality to address your concerns.  See a board certified plastic surgeon near you to see if perhaps brachioplasty is a good option for you.
