I know a body lift addresses the abdomen, outer thighs and buttocks but what does it do for the inner thighs? Will it improve (even if a little) its saggy appearance due to loosing a significant amount of weight? Or is a inner thigh lift necessary for the appearance of the inner thighs to change?
Answer: Body lift 360 circumferential body belt lipectomy medial innet thigh lift Great question! The 360 circumferential lower body lift or belt lipectomy removes excess skin and fat of the tummy, upper hips, and buttocks. This gives you a nice tight, flat abdomen, lifted and flattened lateral thighs, and a lifted, tight buttock. Unfortunately, it does very little to the inner thighs. Most of the force of the body lift is along the lateral thigh region. This lifting force does not translate into the medial thigh. To correct the inner thighs, a medial thigh lift may be necessary. The medial thigh lift can either be done through an incision high in the thigh or an incision which goes from the groin to the inner knee. During a crescent thigh lift, an incision is placed high in the groin. A crescent-shaped area of upper thigh skin and fat is excised. The resulting scarring is hidden in the upper thigh. During a longitudinal medial thigh lift, an incision is placed from the groin to the knee. An elliptical area of skin and fat is removed. The inner thigh lift achieves just that, namely an inner thigh lift. Thank you for a great question regarding the 360 circumferential lower body lift and its effect in the inner or medial thigh. If you have any questions regarding the inner or medial thigh lift or body lift, please contact my office. Good luck! Sincerely, Dr. Katzen

Answer: Does a body lift help the inner thighs? You are correct when you say the lower body lift addresses the abdomen, outer thighs and buttocks. This is primarily the areas that are tightened and lifted. The inner thighs are slightly improved but without a photo it is difficult to know how effective this will be in your particular case. If you have a lot of skin laxity; you would benefit from a spiral thigh lift. A spiral lift is a procedure that helps to reshape the front, back, inner and outer thighs because the incision comes from below the buttocks and extends into the groin creases where the pubic area and thigh meet. It is called a spiral lift because the incision spirals around from the back to the front. It is a good combination procedure when a lot of weight has been lost. It is performed in one procedure. I attached a link regarding the various thigh lifts for you to gain some additional insight into the procedure. Best of luck.

Answer: Circumferential Body Lift (Torsoplasty) and Impact on Medial Thighs A circumferential body lift involves an abdominoplasty and a buttock lift. You are correct; this will primarily improve the appearance of your abdomen, buttocks and outer thighs. I have seen some improvements in the appearance of medial thighs and certainly in the mons/pubic area. If you have a significant degree of medial thigh skin laxity (droop), however, you would likely want to have a staged medial thigh lift, too. Meet with a boarded plastic surgeon who can perform a thorough exam and give you some reasonable expectations for your surgical results.

Answer: Recommended procedure for inner thighs Typically, we would address inner thighs with a separate, thigh lift procedure. A thigh lift (Medial Thigh Reduction) is performed to remove any excess skin and fatty tissue to improve the shape and contour of the legs. It is done by excising the excess skin and is usually performed in combination with liposuction.
