Nasal Fracture 6 Months Ago Resulting in Bone Fragments on Left and Right Side of Nose Which bother me when I wear glasses. The left nostril is compressed and I cannot breathe normally out of it and my nose is slightly displaced to the right a few degrees. No closed reduction was done because of delay in getting imaging. Now I am told to wait till 1 year post injury to fix this and possibly just leave it as is! Can the fragments still be removed and injury corrected this late? Should I find another surgeon?

Answer: Septorhinoplasty for breathing and removing nasal fracture fragments.
I think that it's highly unlikely that you could have done any damage by yawning, especially since you're so 6 weeks into post-op. You shouldn't panic, but you can discuss it with your surgeon, who can examine you, which will surely give you peace of mind!
Good luck!
Your experience is an example of why I don't tell my patients to tape their noses 3 months after rhinoplasty. The improvement you see after taping is very transient and will not impact the final result. After healing is complete, you probably will look like you do immediately after the...
The nose shoudl be fairly strong after rhinoplasty once it has healed. However, you take a nice shot to the nose in boxing and you can definitely break it again.
