I'm a DDD cup size hoping to go down to a C cup. Want to know if my scars will be visible in a bikini? I'm a model and I'm hoping all my scars are hidden when I wear a bikini.
Answer: Will my Scars Show in a Bikini After Breast Reduction?
Thank you for the question.
Your plastic surgeon will be your best resource when it comes to showing you how long you can expect the breast reduction scars to be. Much will depend on how much skin excision is necessary and the technique used to perform the breast reduction surgery.
Of course, in regards to your bikini, much will depend on the size of your bikini. You may, for example not be able to wear the smallest fabric bikini out there.
Again, best to check with your plastic surgeon for more relevant/accurate answers to your question; this question is often best answered in front of a full-length mirror.
Best wishes; hopefully, you will be very pleased with the outcome of the planned procedure.

Answer: Most breast reduction scars are hidden by a bikini top.
The length of the scars is proportional to the amount of skin reduced. Your description it sounds as though they should be easily covered by bikini top. Nevertheless this is something you will have to specifically discuss with your surgeon.

Answer: Scars do result from reductions
and the amount of scarring is determined by how small you go and as mentioned, the size of the bikini top. Your surgeon should be able to predict the amount of scarring you will have to accept to have a reduction and then you can decide if this will work for you.

Answer: Scars hidden after a breast reduction Good question. It honestly depends on the size of the bikini. Usually the scar goes around the nipple areolar complex (should be covered) and then down to the fold under the breast (again should be covered), and then sometimes side to side in the fold, the length depends on the starting size of the breast (may be covered). Not sure how small the bikini's you need to wear are. Some of the photos in catalogs are quite small. Also if jumping around and posing, the suit may move, but if done well, the scars should only need a minor touch up by the photographer, until the scars fade. I still feel that most women are much happier after the procedure.
