Is Applying Cream to the Nipple Normal After Breast Reduction?

Asked By:blesseddiva12 in Tampa, FL

I had a breast reduction and nipple graft on June 28, 2013. I had my post op on July 3rd. My doctor stated everything is healing great and gave me a white cream to apply to my nipples twice a day. Is this normal? I also had my drains removed at the post op appointment. The name of the cream is silver sulfadiazine and she stated it was to help heal the nipple area.
