I removed the bone on my nose last year. 2 days ago I did an alar base reduction, my surgeon did cut sides from my nostrils and he did sew them again on same place, he didn't make them closer to each other and now my nose looks wider than before, my surgeon didn't make them closer bcz he said I wont breath good if he do so :(( I know I still have swelling but I can see my wide nostrils I don't think they will shrink. Im crying since Ive seen my nose and Im very depressed pls help

You reduced the nostrils, which is possible with an alar base reduction. You also reduced the bulbous nature of the tip, which can only be improved with a tip plasty. This can be done in closed fashion at the same time as the alar base reduction.Kenneth Hughes, MDLos Angeles, CA
2 mm of alar base reduction on each side we'll not give an appreciable improvement in the wide nostrils. 3-4 mm would be more appropriate since there is a small amount of skin stretch back.
