My Nipples Are White, Have No Feeling and Have Excessive Scaring, What's Going On? (photo)

Anesthesia is uncommon but possible side effect of breast reduction. Eight weeks there still a good chance that sensibility will return. The white color is scar tissue.

At 2 months post operatively the scars are still maturing and will change with time. At the moment they will be thick and in the acute phase of healing with time there will be softening and the thickening will resolve.

Give some it time.

In general a breast reduction can result in changes in nipple sensation. Most patients will have improvement in sensation and this can take up to  year.

I must be missing something? You left the steristrips on for 8 weeks???? Very unusual treatment. But they DID NOT cause the acceptable scarring as seen in your posted photo! As for fell in/sensation to the N/A that is the risk/reward ratio of having an incision around the N/A. Please discuss this with an IN PERSON second opinion. 

It is possible to have a temporary hypopigmentation of the areola after a surgery.  When this condition occurs it usually corrects itself.  I would expect a return of your pigmentation over the next 12 months.

You have left out some important details, such as "what was your surgery?" and "was your surgeon an American Board of Plastic Surgery certified plastic surgeon?"  The photo depicts a healing process that ANY plastic surgeon would consider normal!

1) Your scars do look wide.  Don't think steristrips caused this.  Not much to do for several months, but then you can have scar revision.

2)  Hopefully, nipple sensation will slowly return over a period of months.

To be true I don't know what is going on except there was a superficial necrosis of some of your nipple that was hidden underneath your steri-strips and now shows after healing as scarring.May be you PS wanted not to get scarred of the necrotic black tissue.In any case you will finally have all the sensations and lot of nipple is still there.There is nothing to be worried about.Wish you good luck.
