Can my Jawline Look More Defined Like This? (photo)

Question

I have a very hidden jawline, along with virtually no chin. Is there a possible way for my jaw to look more like the celebrity pictured? I'm not trying to look like Justin Bieber, I was just looking for a defined, attractive jaw line and chin. If it's possible for it to look like that, what is the expected cost?

There are a few different procedures that can be done to make the chin more prominent. One option is to have surgery on your chin to move your entire jaw forward. This type of surgery is frequently performed by an oral surgeon. The other option is to have a chin implant placed. This procedure would more frequently be performed by a facial plastic surgeon or plastic surgeon. While I do not think either procedure will give you the same chin as Justin Bieber, I do think that either surgery would improve the appearance of your chin and lower face. The costs would vary depending on which type of procedure you had and which doctor performed the surgery.

The amount of improvement is varies depending upon the individual. To increase and define the jawline a significant amount of fat needs to be removed from the neck and a large chin implant would be required to give more chin projection. The approximate cost for a chin implant is $3,600 while a liposuction in the neck is $3,400.

Hi, I have performed many facial shaping procedures using dermal fillers, silastic facial implants (cheek implants, chin implants), liposuction and/or facelifts for over 30 years.  Following my beauty principles, men look chiseled and handsome with angularity in the cheeks, chin and mandibular angles.  From the photos, your cheeks are very flat in the front, the chin is weak as are the mandibular angles.  This combines to create an elongated oval shaped face.  The following procedures would create a more ruggedly handsome face.
Cheek augmentation with silastic cheek implants (permanent enhancement) or using dermal fillers (temporary augmentation) to add angularity to the cheeks and mid face. 
Chin augmentation, using a chin implant, to add projection to the chin creating harmony and balance to the lower face.  I have performed many facial shaping procedures, including Chin Augmentation with dermal fillers or silastic chin implants, for over 30 years.  When the chin is weak, this creates an imbalance making the nose appear larger, the mid face top heavy, the lower face looks short, de-emphasizes the lips and allows early formation of a "double chin".  Proper placement of a silastic chin implant adds forward projection to the chin thereby creating harmony and balance to the lower face.  Using the same incision, liposuction can be performed to reduce the fat and further shape the neck.  Excess skin, from below the chin, can also be removed through the same incision.  I have found that placement of a silastic chin implant, through a small curved incision under the chin (also allows excess skin removal) to be very safe, quick, highly effective and far less invasive than a sliding genioplasty (requires extensive tissue dissection, bone cuts and placement of metal screws and plates to secure the cut bone segments).  I perform chin implant surgery in 30 minutes or less, often using a local anesthetic alone.  In my opinion, you are a good candidate for chin implant surgery.  
Augmentation of the mandibular angles using a dermal filler (jaw implants have too many unwanted side effects IMHO) to add volume, angularity and flare to the jaw line.

on a male, providing a more balanced, masculine jawline and profile. The cost varies, depending on the geographical region. A chin implant in Canada usually costs between $3,500 and $5,000. The most important factor is to choose an experienced,
reputable facial plastic surgeon. Ask to see before and after pictures of
patients who had similar desires. You may also wish to look for a surgeon who has an advanced photo
software system so you can see a 3D image of what you would look like with the
chin implant or filler.

A chin implant will drastically help your profile and give you a more defined jawline. Liposuction of the neck will further compliment the results. With chin augmentation and neck liposuction your jawline will be more defined however it will not look like the celebrity picture you attached. I personally use a digital imaging computer in my office at the consulting phase and I can show the patient what their proposed surgical results will look like with their facial aesthetics.
