Ruptured breast implants should be replaced in a timely fashion. There is no exact time when they need to be replaced if ruptured. If implants are saline then the saltwater is absorbed into your body. There is no hurry to remove saline implants, but you will undoubtedly have loss of volume in the breast where there is a ruptured implant. If your implants are silicone then you should have them removed and replaced in a more timely fashion. The silicone will stay in the scar tissue capsule that your body has made around the implant but your breast may change shape and become harder. There are cases where the ruptured silicone gel can migrate outside of the capsule and form small scar cysts called ganulomas that are can be more of an involved procedure to remove. Good luck to you, Gaurav Bharti
