Will my big buck teeth remain too long and huge after Invisalign treatment? (Photo)

Hello there,As a cosmetic dentist, I love these types of questions.  The short answer is that Invisalign probably will not make those two front teeth look smaller, but here is the bright side.  You can easily have those teeth fixed by a cosmetic dentist in 1 or 2 appointments.  Yes, the it will cost you a little bit, but it won't be as expensive as Invisalign was and not as expensive as metal braces either.  The fix is immediate and permanent (should last next 15-20 years with fairly decent oral hygiene.  Could metal braces have fixed the issue? Probably not by themselves.  Either way, you would have likely needed to see a cosmetic dentist to remedy the problem.  I think your choice of Invisalign was great, considering that you've avoided the unsightliness and discomfort of big metal braces.  Good luck with everything and I wish you the best.

Invisalign is just a tool as are braces...Before you use the tool you need to have a correct diagnosis.  With such large teeth AND crowding you may need some tooth extractions to prevent ending up too toothy!  Even with extractions you might benefit from shaving these incisors down a little to make them look more normal.  As Invisalign doesn't do well with extractions, if you or your doctor is set on Invisalign then you may end up with the wrong treatment.  The right way is to decide what NEEDS to be done then select the right tool to do this...not the other way around!

your concern is real, and if your orthodontist is good he should address that.  Notice that I said the orthodontist, because Invisalign does not do the treatment, the orthodontist does.  Your two central incisors are very prominent, but once aligned and even intruded (as you correctly indicate) they should blend with the rest of the dentition much better.  I just hope you didn't go to some cheap clinic that you found on Google.
