Can I wear permanent Retainers and Invisalign at the same time? (photo)

I recently got my braces off and I'm unhappy with the results! I have permanent retainers and was wondering if I Can I wear Invisalign on top of them. I have a slight overbite and my bottom teeth are kinda shifted to my right. My right side, my teeth have like an open bite, my top teeth and bottom teeth don't touch like my left side teeth do. I also feel like i have a cross bite!

Hi there,If you are planning to get Invisalign on both upper and lower teeth, I would recommend asking your cosmetic dentist or orthodontist to remove the permanent retainer, while you are in Invisalign treatment.  I know it is called "permanent," but it can easily be removed by a dentist, then replaced once your Invisalign treatment is over.  Invisalign acts as a retainer while you are in treatment, so there would be no need to have both in place.  Additionally, your Invisalign treatment may be limited if you decide to keep the permanent retainer in place.
