I took 3 years of taking Botox for migraines, and I immediately started experiencing neck pain and other issues. My doctor said that Botox didnt cause neck pain, so I kept taking it. After the neck pain became intolerable I stop taking Botox. I assumed that my pain would go away, and i would be back to just the migraines but no. The neck pain has reduced, but since the Botox has left, or is leaving my system, my eyes are twitching, horrible neck pain, optical nerve pain, facial muscle pain, and musculoskeletal pain. It feels like muscles are pulling in the back of my head everytime I turn it, and can’t sleep because the pain is too severe. I did not have any of these issues prior to taking Botox, and I don’t believe the that I unknowingly had these problems all of along and the Botox was somehow helping these issues. I feel that doctors say that to get you to take more and to refute that Botox caused these issues. I am realizing that some doctors who say how great botox is, are only doing it for the money anyway. I had migraines but what I am dealing with now is horrible because it’s constant pain all of the time. Its constant pain in the injection sites all of the time. It’s been 5-6 months since I’ve had my last injections but I am hoping that I can regain my life prior to taking this. After this experience, I will gladly deal with the migraines that I had. I think the muscles in face and neck that were injected are the source of my pain and issues. Can they recover?

Hi and thank you for your question! I don't think that the sound of injection or the feeling following the procedure can be an accurate indicator of the proper treatment. Also please keep in mind that being worried too much about the procedure might also have a negative effect on the headaches ...
Thank you for your question. There are a couple of reasons why you can get droopy eyelids (ptosis) after Botox injection to the forehead and the space between your eyebrows (glabella) in the area above your eyes.
