I had a small bowel obstruction caused by adhesions. No bowel was resected. I have a 3 inch abdominal scar which has healed really well. I was physically fit before surgery and am back to full exercising including abdominal exercises. I had scheduled my tummy tuck before my abdominal surgery.
Answer: Adhesion surgery You could probably have a tummy tuck about three months after surgery for the adhesions. I would wait until after the adhesion surgery to plan out your tummy tuck depending on where those scars are placed.

Answer: Wait 6 months I always advise my patients to wait at least 6 months between surgeries just to give the body enough time to heal completely. So, put off your tummy tuck for another few months. My best, Dr. Sheila Nazarian @drsheilanazarian on Instagram

Answer: Can I have a Tummy tuck on March 15, 2016 after lysis of adhesions on Jan 4, 2016? Realself.com is an excellent forum for the exchange of general information, but without personal evaluation including specific knowledge of your medical and surgical history, physical examination, and sometimes laboratory and/or radiographic studies, the value of professional recommendations may be limited. Yours is a unique situation. The general surgeon who performed your lysis of adhesions and the plastic surgeon performing your abdominoplasty will offer (by far) the most valuable answer to your questions.

Answer: Can I have a Tummy tuck on March 15, 2016 after lysis of adhesions on Jan 4, 2016? To get the best cosmetic result with the lowest level of possible complications, I would suggest waiting a couple of months longer. Before proceeding with the tummy tuck, you should get medical clearance from your prior surgeon.Following the advice of anyone on this or any other website who would presume to tell you exactly what to do without taking a full medical history, examining you, feeling and assessing your tissue tone, discussing your desired outcome and fully informing you about the pros and cons of each option would not be in your best interest. Find a plastic surgeon that you are comfortable with and one that you trust and listen to his or her advice. The surgeon should be certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and ideally a member of the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS). You should discuss your concerns with that surgeon in person. Robert Singer, MD FACS La Jolla, California

Answer: Tummy Tuck / Abdominoplasty / Liposuction / Mommy Makeover / Reverse Abdominoplasty I appreciate your question.I would recommend that you wait until you are fully healed so you can achieve an optimal result. Please discuss timing of Tummy Tuck with your surgeon as he/she may recommend pushing back another month or two. The best way to assess and give true advice would be an in-person exam. Please see a board-certified plastic surgeon that specializes in aesthetic and restorative plastic surgery. Best of luck! Dr. Schwartz
