I am a 36 female who had a septoplasty to fix my deviated septum but now have an inverted V. Planning on revision in Dec 2021. I am concerned about thin skin in middle of nose. Surgeon is planning on cartilage grafts but I wanted an opinion on alloderm or fascia over the graft due to thin skin and shrink wrap effect after rhinoplasty. If I were your patient, would you use Alloderm or fascia? Regarding cartilage used, would you use donor cartilage or my rib cartilage? I am concerned with chances of warping or extrusion of donor cartilage. Other areas of concern besides inverted V deformity are drooping tip and large flaring nostrils and dorsal hump. Any other suggestions or opinions on work needed?
