Can PRP help with my under eye circles? If so I need a dr close to me that specializes in this. If it won't work what's the next best treatment? I assume surgery would be the long term fix. But how much will that cost?
Answer: Can PRP help my under eye bags? Hi, The short answer is "No". The long answer is: PRP's main mechanism of action is by stimulating collagen synthesis by some cytokines. It is good to combine PRP treatments with some sort of injury to the skin, namely microneedling with or without radiofrequency. By doing this you may incite a regenerative response and it will result in a tighter, fresher, and healthier skin with few micro-wrinkles. It won't help with lower eyebags. Your most obvious problem is your eyebags which should be addressed by a transconjunctival or conventional lower blepharoplasty, you also have prominent arcus marginalis (lower border of tear troughs) which requires a release combined with suspension and minor fat injection. Best wishes,

Answer: CO2 laser can be beneficial in reducing appearance of eye bags by providing a lift and tightening the skin Fractional laser is an amazing and highly effective treatment in our office. We use the laser treatment to help with acne scars, large pores, fine wrinkles, tissue collagen loss, scars, sebaceous hyperplasia, active acne, and for brightening dark pigmentation. Although there are very strong fractional lasers such as CO2 laser, we use lighter treatments for corrective skincare and maintenance of results. Our Thulium fractional laser, clear and brilliant laser, and Ultra Thulium laser are excellent options in our clinic. We also perform CO2 fractional and erbium depending on skin tone and tolerance for downtime. Patients do have to use a Melarase cream before and after treatment to help further reduce pigmentation after laser. Melarase AM, Melarase PM, and Melapads can seriously improve surface sun damage and UV related pigmentation. Dark spots can improve with these treatments. I recommend fractional laser for incisional scars as well, especially after plastic surgery. Best, Dr. Karamanoukian Realself100 Surgeon

Answer: Blepharoplasty Thank you for sharing your photo-- you would be a great candidate for a transconjunctival lower blepharoplasty with fat transfer. A lower blepharoplasty will address the herniated fat pads and excess skin under your eyes giving you a more refreshed and rested appearance. Best of luck, Dr. Nima!

Answer: Tired looking eyes PRP injected will absolutely improve your tired eye appearance. Combining PRP with microneedling or laser resurfacing would be even better. Alternatively you can have filler injected also. Your skin appears thin in that area with a bluish discoloration from capillaries so expect bruising especially with filler or microneedling. Pretreat with arnica with vitamin K cream.

Answer: Under eye filler Hello,Thank you for your question and photo, PRP can be injected under the eye to but by the looks of your photo you would probably be happier with the results of a hyaluronic acid placed under the eye. The results can last anywhere between 8-12 months, depending on the type that is used, and will help to fill in that hollowing area that is creating a groove and appearance of a bag. Although a face to face consultation is always best for assessing this area I think that this treatment would work great on you. Best of luck!
