1- what was your baseline triglyceride level, BEFORE you started the medicine? if your baseline was 240, and you have been on the medication and it stays at 240, or are just planning to start, it should be OK. But, first I would recommend that your internist explain to you why you have high triglycerides. 2- did you fast for 8 hours before having this bloodwork done? Triglyc levels are affected by your meals, so if you ate something fatty like a beefburger or pizza, and then had bloodwork, the levels can be high. But, this does not mean anything. It needs to be done fasting.Regardless, a triglyc level of 240 is not a reason not to take Accutane, but the above factors should be considered first. Be well and good lick!
