So most doctors recommend 5% Minoxidil twice/day but you think if you use a 10% solution you can take it every other day? IMO to get a constant blood level of Minoxidil, you should take it twice/day, every day for 4 months to ascertain if it works or not. If not, stop. You can take either concentration but bear in mind that Minoxidil does have uncomfortable side effects and the higher dosage presumably will have more side effects (dizziness, fatigue, palpitations, lower BP, skin irritation). You should apply it to a dry head 2 hours before bedtime.
This concentration of minoxidil may not help you if you are a male with genetic balding and already have some bald areas
Hairs that are grown from minoxidil are usually not the genetically impacted hairs but these hairs are dependent upon minoxidil so stopping it could be a real problem because of the dependency that is developed. If you feel that minoxidil is not good for you, then don't use it
IMO the liquid is a better choice but I see no contraindication. Both forms are popular. In my practice I use Formula 82 which seems to be well tolerated.
