Answer: The first thing to do if you have a post surgical problem is to CALL YOUR DOCTOR. The first thing to do if you have a post surgical problem is to CALL YOUR DOCTOR. Scabs usually fall out over time with gentle washing. The Internet is not an ideal to place to receive personal treatment advice especially since there is no examination or a dialogue. In the end, you may end up with conflicting answers that will confuse you even more. This will end up delaying any treatment.

Answer: Scalp crust after surgey Each doctor has a particular post-op scalp care protocol. Crusting at ten days is not uncommon, and the hair follicles should be very securely attached at this point. I advise my patients to gently massage their scalps with the pads of their fingers at ten days in order to gently remove any crusts. Hair shafts may come out with the crusts, but the healed follicles should remain behind and begin growing new hairs in 2-3 months.

Answer: Hair coming out with crust Scubs would be cleaned at end of second weeks. All scabs should be cleaned with pressured (not gentle) massage to transplant area .Dont forget that you may wash your head with normal pressure and if you need you can use a soapy wet towel for massage the scubby area, it Works very well to remove scubs .you may see hair with scubs and that is normal .

Answer: Scalp necrosis The picture you sent, albeit dark, appears as if you had suffered from scalp necrosis in the mid zone two region. I would follow up with your surgeon in terms of Post operative care as this could take a few months to resolve and will need constant care. If this is the process of your scalp in that region, the scab will darken over the next few weeks, And will eventually fall off. And it's place you'll have scarred tissue and likely little growth of the follicles in that region. That area will likely need to be read transplanted.

Answer: Crusting I am concerned that some of what I see is more than crusting but something that is called necrosis of the scalp. Go back and talk to your doctor about this term
