Is it normal for a piece of glue to come off 8 days post op tummy tuck? (Photos)

Thanks so much for reaching out. It looks like from the pictures you have sent that you have a partial dehiscence of your incision. Be sure to keep in close contact with your surgeon to find out how they would like this treated. This may increase in size or get better with time. You will likely need to use some sort of wound care while this is happening.I hope this helps :-)

It isn't a problem if the glue comes off at this point. It would usually start to come away after the first dressing change, and most surgeons use deep sutures to support the wound healing anyway. If you have a small raw area, you will need dressings until it is healed, but if you stay in close touch with your PS office they should be able to support you with this. Good luck!

It is common for glue to slowly peel off about a week or so after surgery.  Your issue it seems from your photos is some wound separation that needs to be addressed.

The glue loss is not an issue as it typically dissolves or falls off at 10-14 days. However, you do have another minor issue. The quality of the pictures you posted is not the best, but it appears that you have some mild skin loss and wound separation at the T junction of your FDL TT. This is not a major issue as the small area will scar in on its own, and you could always do a scar revision down the road. The important thing is to keep the wound clean, apply antibiotic ointment,  and keep an eye out for infection. Let you plastic surgeon know and he/she will give you further guidance. 

Skin glue tends to vary as to when it "falls off"... it has a lot to do with the patient's skin (perhaps if it is oily or not), location of the incision/glue, etc.  That being said, I would talk to your plastic surgeon about this and be sure he/she does not want to address this in some way.  Also, it appears that you have minor wound edge separation at the "T" portion of your incision (central bottom part), and I would predict that this area is going to go on to breakdown a little which is very common in this operation (I currently have a patient with this type of delayed healing).  This is usually treated with dressing changes and goes on to heal nicely, so I don't mean to alarm you.  At 9 days out from surgery, you are likely over the hump of pain/discomfort, so congratulations and my best wishes to a speedy recovery.
