Had a tummy tuck December 2020 and now have a pooch. What should I do? (photos)

I had a tummy tuck December 2020 When I first had the tummy tuck everything looked amazing. I now feel like I have a pooch in my lower abdominal and things don't feel as tight. I have gained 5lbs since the surgery. But I didn't think that would be enough to alter results. I have photo if now and a photo of when the procedure was done. What do you think I should do?

You have an absolutely fantastic result. It is not uncommon for things to stretch out a little with time but I don’t think you need anything done. Enjoy your excellent result and thank your surgeon for doing a great job

I understand your concern. However, without a proper assessment, it would be difficult to determine what went wrong. It is best that you visit your plastic surgeon for further assessment or ask for a second opinion. Only after a thorough examination, you can get proper recommendations and advice.

The photos submitted do not demonstrate an obvious underlying cause for the contour that concerns you.  I encourage you to begin by speaking with your surgeon and having an evaluation.  A five pound weight gain would not typically be enough to cause a visual difference in your results.

5 pounds can definitely have an affect on the tummy tuck result. With muscle tightening the space to hold intra-abdominal continent is reduced and any increase in visceral fat will show as abdominal bulging. Try losing the 5 pounds then take pictures and compare.Often weight gain shows as a bulging of the upper abdomen bud it can show on the lower abdomen as well.
