I read somewhere that if you have metal plates and screws in your face, this can cause problems with Morpheus8. Does the same thing apply for dental brackets on the teeth?
Answer: Morpheus 8 and dental hardware Thanks for your inquiry, if the dental brackets are intra-oral it should be safe, please ask the provider to review before a treatment and best of luck.

Answer: Morpheus8 treatments contra-indications for Morpheus8 metal plates and screws and Morpheus8 metal braces on teeth and Morpheus8 Hello SteelEyed, thank you for your question regarding whether it’s safe to get Morpheus8 treatments on your face if you have metal braces on your teeth and screws in your face. Believe it or not, this is a common question I get asked. There are no contraindications to performing Morpheus8 if you have metal plates and screws in your face. The Morpheus8 energy does not go deep into the bone. Also, the Morpheus8 energy is not conducted through the metal. Therefore, consider it safe to undergo Morpheus8 treatments with metal braces on your teeth, and metal plates and screws in your face. Good luck. Sincerely, Dr. Katzen. Answer: Morpheus is safe with braces Morpheus 8 is a non-invasive skin and soft tissue tightening treatment that is consistently amazing in our patients. We use the Morpheus to exact fractional induced RF into the skin or tissue in order to tighten collagen and stimulate contraction of the tissue. For acne scars, it is quite useful to build collagen in patients who have atrophic scars but is not very productive for ice-pick scars which require TCA Cross. For tissue tightening, Morpheus is ideal for the face and neck and we often combine it with CO2 laser or Ultherapy to further enhance results. Chemical peels and skin resurfacing should be done at least 5 to 7 days after, but can be performed earlier, depending on treatment severity. Avoid exfoliating skin treatments before Morpheus and expect a period of 2-4 weeks for skin contraction to set in. Best, Dr. Karamanoukian Realself100 Surgeon
