Teosyal Redensity II; Under eye circles not gone after 1.2 ml injected for both eyes. What happened? Thanks! (photo)

Teosyal Redensity II, which I use in my Israel satellite facility, and Belotero Balance, my choice in my Upper East Side Manhattan office, are excellent fillers for treating tear troughs, hollows and dark circles under the eyes. However, if loss of volume under and around infrarorbital area is not addressed first, then directly injecting the infraorbital area is like trying to build a house without  first putting in a foundation. The cheeks below the under eye area need to serve as a supporting scaffold, i.e. a buttress for the infraorbital region. Quite possibly the initial results that you enjoyed were the result of edema (tissue fluid accumulation) which would have enhanced, albeit temporarily, the overall "volume" in the area, and this may account for the initial gratifying results. Once the tissue fluid was absorbed completely, however, a process that can take about two weeks, one would expect these gratifying results to disappear, which is essentially what you describe. I would suggest that you consult with a board certified aesthetic physician with experience and expertise in facial and infraorbital recontouring and shaping with injectable volumizers and fillers. Insist upon seeing his/her before and after photos before agreeing to proceed. Best of luck.
