If it helps, the nurse injected by injecting then pressing hard on the areas he injected. After the procedure, I did not swell or bruise at all. I got half a syringe under each eye, so one syringe in total. The syringe was 1ml.

Thank you for your question. It is common practice to massage the injected area to ensure it is smooth and consistent with your anatomy. .5ml of product is a minimal amount, you may require more. Wait a full 2 weeks for the product to settle, if you are still concerned after 2 weeks schedule a follow up with your injector to discuss further treatment. Best,

Massaging the area under the eyes following injection is common in order to evenly distribute the product. If you are not seeing an adequate change then you either require more product (which is not unusual in this area) or the product was not placed in the ideal location. Lower lid injections should be placed along the bony rim of the lower eyelid to effectively "lift up" the overlying eyelid tissues. If the product is placed too low on the cheek, then optimal results may not be obtained. This would be useful to discuss with your injector.
