i got my dreads tightened and they said i could be stressed given that I've started a new job recently and don't have balding in my family, but when i get my dreads tightened some times they pull on my hair and i don't know if that could be causing it too.

Answer: 20 year old recent hair loss an examination by hair loss specialist should be done. You may have component of traction alopecia due to the dreadlocks, and/or there may be component of telethon effluvium with recent high stree, or even male pattern hair loss given location is at the crown. A full history and examination needs to be done, in order to determine best treatment approach. Good luck!
