It has been seven months since I had active fx done and I see no change. Why did I not get a result?

Thank you for your question. A high setting would have you red, and or pink for about 2-3 weeks. If your red was gone in 48 hours, the setting was very low, and only a skin polishing, not a tightening. You may also just have a lot of damage, and need a second treatment.I hope this helps!

Very sorry to hear you did not get the results you wanted.While fractional lasers do stimulate changes in the skin for several months, you are probably seeing a final results.While fractional lasers have provided a whole new dimension in resurfacing with many benefits (less risks, less downtime, more flexibility) they do not provide the same dramatic results of traditional fully ablative laser resurfacing. If you are looking for a more significant result, I would recommend consulting with your physician about options for a more aggressive treatment.

It would be helpful to have your doctor print your before an after photos and have a face to face discussion. Sometimes results are visible on the photos, sometimes they are subtle, sometimes they are dramatic. The main discussion is what did you expect ahead of time and did that happen.  Active Fx can be repeated, or other treatments selected. Seek a second opinion too if your questions are not answered.  Best of luck. 

Results depends on subjective and objective measurement, expectations and goals, settings and most importantly skill level of your dermatologist or plastic surgeon.
