For many years, our office has dealt with moisturization problems associated with Retin A.  At this time, we have switched over to Replenish Cream to minimize discomfort as it contains retinoids alongside a moisturizing base. Our patients seem to tolerate the Replenish Cream much better and we advise them to use Elevase Moisture Booster to moisturizer their skin.

I recommend Opti-Ceramides to help moisturize the skin during application of retinoids or retin-A.

A great Opti-Ceramide is Elevase Moisture Booster and you can get information about this product by clicking on the link below. It is physician formulated.

It depends on what you like. Some people like a thinner, regular lotion like Lubriderm or CeraVe. And others like something thick like SkinCeuticals Emollience. It is entirely your preference and it won't affect the results if you use something thinner or thicker on top of your Retin-A.
