Can using a dermaroller and Retin A actually cause a depression in the skin?

I have been rolling, 2mm, under my orbital bone/ upper cheek area and for some reason there is a slight depression in the spot where I would specifically roll. Area is bleeding and sensitive. Apply Retin A after rolling. Constant peeling because of Retin A but dismissed this as normal since I just started Retin A. Dent is uneven in skin surface yet very minor however was not there prior to dermarolling/retin a. Perhaps I've rolled too often. Will the surface return to smooth again or permanent?
