When I am talking, my right side bottom lip pulls down and to one side exposing more teeth and gum on that one side than the other side. Would Botox help and where would the injection be?
Answer: Botox Thank you for your question. Yes with Botox we can target specific muscles to weaken to help achieve a more symmetric face especially during movement. I hope this helps.

Answer: Botox to improve asymmetry of the mouth. It is possible that botox can help address the asymmetry of your mouth. An improvement can be achieved, but complete symmetry is unlikely. The face structure is affected by more than just the muscles, underlying bone structure and dentition can affect the way the mouth animates. During an assessment/consultation the qualified injector could assess which muscle is cause the pull on your bottom lip and a small amount of botox could help to relax that muscle.

Answer: Botox can help restore symmetry to the face. Botox can help restore symmetry to an otherwise asymmetric face. Although, the issue is often a hyperactive muscle and in your particular case it sounds like the depressor anguli oris muscle. Targeting this muscle with Botox can deactivate the muscle and help give you the look that you want.

Answer: Botox Hello, and thank you for your question! Botox would help by inhibiting the contraction of the muscle, which will soften your look on the right side. Your doctor may use multiple injection sites to achieve the desired outcome. I cannot say exactly where the sites would be because I have not seen you in person but it would be around the corner of the mouth, where your muscles are pulling down. A filler such as Juvederm in the lips may also help fill the lips so not as much of your teeth and gum are showing. Please see my attached link which has more information on Botox. Please be sure to see a board-certified plastic surgeon you feel comfortable with. Best of luck! James L.
