How soon after a lower face and neck lift can I start doing other treatments like Botox, lasers, microneedling and facials?

Thank you for your question. These treatments are a wonderful way to put the finishing touches on your surgical procedures. While a facelift and neck lift are very good at addressing skin laxity, they don’t offer much improvement in the quality of the skin overall. Injectables, lasers, and other procedures can restore your radiant glow. I would advise you to wait at least six weeks to give your skin ample time to heal before adding more treatments. However, your doctor can advise you more specifically. Make sure you are working with a board-certified dermatologist with extensive experience and training to ensure the best possible result.

Thank you for your question. In most cases, these treatments are completely safe after about six weeks, provided you don’t experience any unexpected side effects from your surgery. Make sure the person that performs your nonsurgical treatments has the same amount of experience and expertise as the plastic surgeon that performed your surgery to ensure an optimal outcome.

Dear BeBE Galini,Thank you for your question. I usually perform Botox on my facelift patients if they want, 4-6 weeks after surgery. I use a similar time frame for lasers/facials (I have a strong CO2 laser) and have never had a healing issue. You can ask hundreds of surgeons, and you will probably get that many different answers.  I see no time restriction on Botox, but would wait 6 weeks for intense facials and microneedling.   My laser protocol is fairly aggressive, so I typically wait 3 months to allow proper healing. It is best to ask your surgeon for his opinion.
