I had a deep burn from a boiling water accident last year. It's all healed now but it's left a scar on my inner thigh. The scar is getting better with time, but I'm afraid that laser will make it permanent or have other negative affects.

Plaquenil makes you at higher risk for pigment changes in areas treated with the laser. I would be reluctant to treat your face while you are on this medication, even if you have no problems with underarm treatment, because different areas of the body react differently to the laser....
