Hello Susan,Thank you for your question. Putting the two treatments together produces a wonderful result! When I do a treatment protocol involving both micro needling and IPL, I like to wait 2 weeks in between treatments simply because you want your skin to heal completely before irritating it again with the next treatment and every person is different in regards to healing time. Hope this helps. All the best,Carlos Mata, MD, MBA, FACS
I have no problem doing these procedures on the same day, however if you do them separately you may want to wait 1-2 weeks before proceeding with one versus the other. Best, Dr. Emer.
Hello and thank you for your question. Having your microneedling 6 days after your IPL is fine. I normally schedule two weeks apart. I would recommend using PRP during your microneedling treatment to achieve optimal results and quicker healing. Best to you, Dr Faraz
Thank you for your question. It is OK to do the two procedures a few days apart if the IPL calms down in the normal 24 to 72 hour window. In fact, the two procedures are both stimulators of college synthesis and therefore will work synergistically to enhance collagen formation thus smoothing skin and giving them a more even, texture and appearance.
I think combining IPL and Microneedling treatments can produce beautiful results! I recommend a two week interval between treatments in order to allow the skin to completely heal. Occasionally, I have a patient that takes a bit longer to heal, in which case we may wait closer to a month in between treatments. If your provider uses PRP (protein rich plasma) with the Microneedling, you will likely heal very quickly. However, I would still wait two weeks minimum before doing an IPL. I hope you love the results!
IPL treats conditions that lie on top of the skin- like brown spots, freckles, sun spots, etc... whilst micro needling can stimulate collagen that lies under your skin. Hence I often perform these procedures on the same day- as healing time coincides with each other. All the best, Dr Davin Lim. Brisbane. Australia.
Good morning and thank you for your question! I would recommend waiting until your skin completely heals from the trauma of the burn that you obtained. I always suggest waiting at least 6 months after a burn to get any aggressive treatments, including microneedling. Any aggressive treatments ...
I would stay away from dermal rollers and would never recommend microneedling or doing a chemical peel on yourself at home. I have seen many patients damage their skin by purchasing products online and causing damage to their skin. I would recommend being treated by a professional. Hope this helps.
Microneedling may help skin cancer prevention or recurrence especially when done with Levulan (blue light PDT therapy). If there is a lot of sun damage and many growths there's a chance it will hide skin cancers so there should be careful removal of precancerous tissue and an excellent skin exam...
