Swelling after VersaPlus. I got 1 syringe of Revanesse VersaPlus injected about 24 hours ago and it got very swollen right after but swelling has gone down quite a bit, I’ll post before and right now pictures. I feel like my upper lip/moustache area is very swollen giving me a duck like look, wondering if it’s normal swelling and if it will go down?
Answer: Horrible swelling after Revanesse Versa by Prolennium The amount of swelling after your filler injection with Versa Revanesse by Prolennium seems excessive when compared to other fillers that I have used in my office. Your experience may be unusual and may make you intimidated to undergo another injection in the future. However, I would perhaps suggest using Juvederm or Restylane injections as I don't seem to get that type of reaction with those brands in my office. We would hope that you do not have an allergic reaction to the filler or its ingredients. Some companies may use preservatives that are allergenic and we would have to investigate further whether the Revanesse filler Versa has any high allergenic preservatives. Revanesse Versa is made in Canada vs. the fillers that are made in the United States.

Answer: Swelling After Lip Filler It is definitely normal to have swelling after lip filler injections. I would make sure that it is not changing color or painful because those could be additional signs that you would want to discuss with your injector. I would suggest icing the area on and off for today and as long as it is not a problem with your medical health, I often have patients take and antihistamine to help reduce their lip swelling. Ultimately, the swelling usually peaks at 12-24 hrs and then lasts for a few days. I tell patients that they usually have swelling for about 2-4 days and it continues to get better. The good thing to know is that if you don't like the final size of your lips (wait about 10 days), it can be reversed and dissolved, if you are still unhappy.

Answer: Lip augmentation Dear AlondraG1,dermal fillers have significant swelling post injection. I would follow up with you plastic surgeon but typically I tell all my patients to wait a full two weeks. Generally at 2 weeks they are happy and glad they didn't dissolve. Dissolving is unpredictable as well.Daniel Barrett, MD Certified, American Board of Plastic Surgery Member, American Society of Plastic Surgery Member, American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery

Answer: Swelling after lip injections Thanks for the helpful photos. You certainly did have quite a bit of swelling initially after your injections, but they will go down soon. Keep icing and you can try some antihistamines. You might want to try another product next time to see if it is specific to the VersaPlus or an ingredient in it. Juvederm, Volbella, Belotero, and Restylane Silk are all nice hyaluraonic acid products to use in the lips. Best of luck!

Answer: Lips Lip swelling after injection is most definitely normal - you do have more than average I'm afraid. I would certainly use some ice and antihistamine. Maybe check if you have any latex allergy to the gloves used also as this can sometimes cause more swelling. It will go down in time!
