Can I tan while using Minoxidil?

Hello im using minoxidil 5% and I desperately wanna tan, can i wash off my head and go to the beach then apply minoxidil or would this still make side effects ?

I may be in the minoroity of doctors who believe that lasers have little effect on hair loss.  The doctors make money by selling lasers and this colors their judgements.
