Could this be alopecia? I've been taking whey protein to try to restore health to my hair and nails (Photo)

It only took a month for this spot to develop.. I woke up one day and it was there.. it's gotten a little bit bigger over the month but seems to have stopped spreading after I started taking biotin and paying attention to my protein.. Could this be alopecia? Is there any way to treat this? Maybe women's rogaine? Answers would be greatly appreciated, Please and Thank you. :( I'm freaking out...
