The nurse called today and said that it was severely atypical and will need to be surgically removed with a 5mm margin.P athology report says it's a Junctional Nevus with Severe Dysplasia but in the notes it included the line "this lesion border on melanoma in situ". The nurse told me that severely dyplastic moles and melanoma are "basically the same", but also said that my lesion is currently benign but has a very high risk of developing into melanoma. I'm so confused.
