Generally, various fruit acid peels can be done every 1-2 weeks. If they are done more frequently than that, the skin will be in constant "recovery" mode, without ever getting the chance to actually improve. Under eye dark circles can be caused by a variety of factors, including vascular fragility and hyperpigmentation, along with hollowing of the area and loose skin from aging. Chemical peels should be done very carefully and cautiously by an expert in the delicate under eye skin, so as to avoid burns/scars. Chemical peels are generally not an effective treatment for dark circles around the eyes. The skin around the eyes is very sensitive and may be irritated by peeling agents. Dark circles are often vascular in nature. If this is the case, they may be treated with a vascular laser such as Vbeam.
