this last time I got my superficial peel my pores seem to have clogged. What can I use to prevent this and get rid of the clogged pores? They are baby clogs but weren't there before. Should I get another when it comes time for my appointment? I feel it depends on what products you use after the peel and my products seemed too gentle and clogging. Am I only supposed to avoid certain acids and scrubbing exfoliants for a week after? Would enzyme cleanser/exfoliant be okay? I feel like I need it!

Light chemical peels such as a Melapeel will target the pigment, plus application of Melapads twice daily will help maintain the exfoliation and skin lightening. Best, Dr. Karamanoukian Los Angeles
Our office specializes in hyperpigmentation problems. Chemical peel pigmentation can be deeper due to post inflammatory hyperpigmentation and melanin migration. Melarase creams and the Q switch laser are both appropriate. Best, Dr. Karamanoukian Los Angeles
Aging and sun damage are often associated. Improving sun damage such as pigmentation should therefore help your appearance. Chemical peels will not address redness (telangectasias), nor will they significantly tighten the skin.
