5 weeks post op breast augmentation/mastopexy safe for music festival ?

Thank you for your questions. I think it is safe to go to the music festival. I would avoid lifting heavy coolers and smoking marijuana. I recommend all women with implants to wear some type of support. Being around smoke should not be a problem at this stage. Best of luck and have fun.

Thank you for sharing. This really depends on how well you've healed within your surgeon's expectations and protocol in light of your planned activities. Online advice does not replace an in person exam by your plastic surgeon. He/she can best assess your individual situation. Most patients are able to return to most activities at the 4-6 week range depending on the exact nature of the procedure and level of activity. Best wishes

Hi There,well it all depends: will be you going to listen to some nice quiet classic music, sitting on a chair, sipping a glass of wine ? or do you mean a music festival like Lollapalooza ( hey, am in Chicago, and I have a teen, I know it all ) with 2 million people crazily jumping around the pit in the summer heat ?if this is your kind of festival, I would tell you no, bad idea !even if healed well at 5 weeks, you want to wear a good support bra, and you certainly do not want a hyper concert goer hitting you in the breasts/body while dancing around high on some drugs....then complaining of a bruise/hematoma....or a fall on your chest.you just spent money on cosmetic surgery to make yourself look nice, so put all the chances on your sides, and avoid all extreme activities for the next 3 months. we clear all our patients for gym at 3 weeks though.good luck,Florence Mussat

Hello!  There is no way to give you advice as there are no photos to assess your healing nor information provided regarding what implant style/size and in what position were used along with your mastopexy technique.  As you mentioned, these are questions you should discuss with your plastic surgeon during your routine follow-ups as they will know best how to gauge your progress and what activities and post-op routines they are comfortable with you participating in without compromising their results.  Hope this helps!
