Can anything be done to minimize a venous pool on the lip? (photo)

I have had a very noticeable venous pool on my lower right lip for years, and it is getting more noticeable as I age. I'd like to have it 'disappear' and am wondering if there is a solution. It is very dark and purple and has really distorted my lower lip.

Venous pools on lips are either electrocauterized or lasered a few times and disappear nicely under local anesthesia. Sincerely,David Hansen,MD

Hello,We typically use a laser for the treatment of a venous lake.  The Cutera 1064 Nd: YAG laser is very effective at treating these lesions on the lips.  I recommend contacting a reputable clinic with a very skilled technician to perform the laser treatment.Best of luck!
