If you stop using it, your normal hair loss process will start again, and you will probably lose your newly regrown hair. This needs an in-person evaluation. If you stop Rogaine, your hair will go back to its original hair loss process.  You should discuss this with your doctor before stopping it. Always seek treatment from a qualified physician.

Stopping Rogaine will cause hair loss on one condition only: that it was helping you in the first place. If you are not sure if the Rogaine was doing anything or not, then there’s a reasonable chance that stopping it will have no effect. If however, the Rogaine was keeping hair growing and if you truly are one of the 30 % of men who gets some benefit in the hairline - stopping will lead to some hair loss.
