Will hair fall out after stopping rogaine

Question

Hi, I have been using Rogaine for around 2 years now on my hair line only, but have recently got a cat and found put it is toxic to it so might look to stop, I had a hair transplant about 18 months ago and also on propecia and results have worked extremely well. Will coming off Rogaine cause hair loss? I trust the transplant and the propecia have worked more than the Rogaine but I don't want to stop it and my hair fall into a shedding phase

If you stop using it, your normal hair loss process will start again, and you will probably lose your newly regrown hair. This needs an in-person evaluation. I suggest seeing a hair loss expert now to evaluate and go over your condition and provide you information about your best treatment options. There are great non-invasive options like prp/progesterone and/or hair transplantation. See an expert. Best, Dr. Emer

If you stop Rogaine, your hair will go back to its original hair loss process.  You should discuss this with your doctor before stopping it. Always seek treatment from a qualified physician.

Stopping Rogaine will cause hair loss on one condition only: that it was helping you in the first place. If you are not sure if the Rogaine was doing anything or not, then there’s a reasonable chance that stopping it will have no effect. If however, the Rogaine was keeping hair growing and if you truly are one of the 30 % of men who gets some benefit in the hairline - stopping will lead to some hair loss.

Those hairs which have become dependent will likely be lost after stopping Rogaine. If you must stop the Rogaine, I suggest that you try 2 - 3 PRP treatments immediately after stopping. The PRP should prevent the hair loss and fortify not only that hair, but nearby hair as well.

Yes , coming off Rogaine will cause hair loss. ıf you stop to use drug after a long time usage, you may experience a fast thinning, even loss of hair because of ending action of active ingredient.
