The nasal dilator is stainless steel, like the attached picture shows. It expands the nostrils so that my pinched nostrils suddenly appear normal and I can breathe easier again. If I wear this device 24/7, am I risking damaging my nose somehow?

It is difficult to truly evaluate the outcome/nose with the photos provided. I recommend seeing your original surgeon to voice your results. Any surgeon who is serious about rhinoplasty will listen to your concerns and provide appropriate counseling/advice regarding how best to move forward....

Scar tissue is going to form anytime you have injuries or surgery.
Surgically removing scar tissue typically just makes more scar tissue.
It is one of the side effects of having surgery.
