Is a non surgical bbl with fillers safe?

Allow me to answer your question as best i can without any photos. However, please keep in mind that an in-person, or at least a virtual, consultation with physical exam is first necessary before any legitimate evaluation or final surgical recommendations can be made.

There are currently only two FDA approved surgical options for augmenting the buttock/hip area: 1) Buttock and cosmetic Hip Implants (which are soft semi-solid silicone rubber implants that cannot rupture &/or leak) and 2)Brazilian Butt Lift (aka BBL) - which utilizes the patients own fat from liposuction then transfers this fat into the buttock. On the other hand, BBL using fillers such as hyaluronic acids, Sculptra, etc… is a dangerous, guaranteed waste of money, and is NOT FDA approved. So what it comes down to, like any surgery, is proper patient selection and long-term results. Implants provide the only guarantee for a sustained permanent result and tend to be ideal for perking up not only lean or deflated buttocks but also providing substantial projection to any butt, which is what every single patient wants. Typically a combination of sculpting the waistline with liposuction and augmenting the buttock with implants +/- the hips with implants provides the best chance for a long lasting and desirable "hour-glass" figure.

Fillers such as Sculptra and hyaluronic acids are cost prohibitive, provided enough volume is injected (i.e. at least 400 cc of active ingredient costing over $300,000) and last only 12 - 18 months. Additionally, any physician promoting “biostimulators” for buttock enhancement is just a joke, and any board certified plastic surgeon promoting such, should not be trusted with your butt.

So, if you're looking for a reliable, predictable, and long-term permanent option that also provides projection in the upper, central and lower buttock and hips, buttock and hip implants are your solution.

Please note that an extremely few number of board certified plastic surgeons specialize in buttock or hip implants, so you may need to travel far and away from home to find this particular surgeon. Getting it done right the first time around is not only the best chance for success, but also will save you from a lot of headaches and money in the future. Glad to help.

These fillers can absolutely be safe when done by a qualified, experienced medical professional—ideally a board-certified doctor or trained nurse practitioner or physician assistant. Avoid alternative or unlicensed practitioners, as they carry higher risks. All together fillers is a much safe option then surgery and we see great satisfaction in our practice with non surgical bbls. Using smaller volumes in stages lowers the risk of lumps, and other complications but may also not give you the result you are looking for so I would speak to your provider about what they recommend.

It’s very important to clarify that fillers like Hyacorp or Maxyfill are not the same as the safe fat transfer we perform in a BBL. These products can act similarly to biopolymers, which are foreign substances. Over time, they can cause complications such as chronic inflammation, infections, migration of the material, and, in some cases, the need for complex reconstructive surgery.

For this reason, I do not recommend buttock fillers as a safe option. The only scientifically supported and safe way to add volume to the buttocks is through fat transfer (BBL) performed by a board-certified plastic surgeon in an accredited surgical facility.

Regarding your question on safety: choosing nurse practitioners or alternative practitioners for buttock fillers would not reduce the risks, because the issue lies in the product itself, not only in the injector. Even small amounts can still carry significant risks.

My recommendation is to avoid buttock fillers entirely. Your safety and long-term results are always the priority.

Using H a fillers for high volume augmentation usually becomes cost prohibitive.
Consider a typical BBL graphs 400 to 1000 mL of fat per side.
To get a noticeable result, you’ll probably need at least 50 to 100 mL of HA filler.
You can look up the prices and figure out what the price would be.
For most people the price is simply not worth it, especially for a temporary treatment.
