Hello! I had a breast augmentation about 13 months ago, and I had the incisions go under my breast. I did about 6 months of silicon gel treatment for the scars. Recently, they’ve started to raise and seem more textured. I was hoping for some insight on what the cause is and what I should do about it? Thanks in advance!

Answer: Inframammary scars Dear Brave89791, it is hard to tell for sure without an examination. If you are considering treatment, I would suggest you consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination, you will get more information and recommendations. Answer: Raised scars I encourage you to return to your surgeon for an evaluation. If you have hypertrophic scars there are treatments available including kenalog injections. At 13 months post op you are also eligible for scar revision if indicated.
