Thank you for your question regarding what to do with your arms and breast after weight loss. Thank you for your history and your pictures. In regards to your arms, you have excess skin and fat. You also have stretch marks in the upper 1/3 of the arms. If you have arm liposuction, your arm skin will not contract. Your skin needs to be surgically removed. Therefore you need an arm lift, arm reduction, or a brachioplasty. You probably will not need a full incision from the elbow to the armpit but may require just a limited incision from the armpit, partially down the inner arm. Alternatively, you may only need a crescent arm lift or a crescent skin area, and fat is removed from the armpit. This can be combined with arm liposuction. Regarding your breast, you did not include any pictures of the breast, so I can’t comment. Either way, almost any breast procedure can be combined with the arm lift or brachioplasty. The arm lift procedure takes 2 to 4 hours depending on the chosen procedure, whether arm liposuction, crescent arm lift, modified T arm lift, or full longitudinal arm reduction. Good luck. I hope this helps to answer questions regarding what to do with your arms and whether you should have an arm lift or liposuction. I specialize in arm lifts. I hope that I have answered your questions regarding the arm reduction. If you have any more questions regarding the arm lift, arm reduction, brachioplasty or arm crease fat grafting, please contact my office. Since a brachioplasty or arm lift surgery is a difficult procedure, please seek an experienced, board-certified plastic surgeon with significant experience performing these types of arm lifts. Do your research. Make sure your chosen plastic surgeon has performed at least 100 arm lifts. Make sure they have the before and after pictures to prove it. Carefully examine their before and after pictures and check their reviews on RealSelf. Sincerely, Dr. Katzen.
