Wow, tummy tuck on its way. This is a great surgery and a sore throat two weeks before surgery should not be a problem. I would check for strep and provide antibiotics which is unlikely but possible. It should simply resolve itself in a few day. If worried, just get on a week of Amoxacilin. BUT, definitely consult with your surgeon.
You need to let your surgeon know right away so he/she can determine if you will be able to proceed with your surgery. Good luck.
Thank you for your question. I recommend that if you are feeling an illness coming on, that you talk to your primary care doctor to ensure that it isn’t something serious. You also need to talk to your plastic surgeon, as patients who are sick typically cannot undergo surgery. Good luck!
Best to call your chosen operate surgeon's office. Ask to be seen and treated so to protect your planned surgery date. Otherwise go see your Primary Care MD for treatment..
These are questions that you need to discuss with your board certified plastic surgeon. Please call the office and ask your surgeon. Best of luck and feel better soon!
