Why do I have rolls on my stomach after Lipo? (photos)

I've had lipo done about 2 1/2 weeks ago and my stomach looks horrible. When I'm standing, my stomach looks okay but when I bend over or sit I have rolls and pockets of what look like fat. Is this fluid retention? Is it because I'm swollen still? And how long will it be this way?

HelloThank you for the question, because of the time of post op you have there's still a lot of swelling in that area and its completely normal what you are seeing right now.Be patient it will get better. Best of lucks....

You still are very early from healing and do have swelling. Please wear your garment and follow your post operative instructions. Please discuss any concerns with your doctor.

At just 21/2 weeks post op, you may still have a significant amount of swelling, scarring and/or fluid formation.  It can take 6 to 12 weeks to see the long term results of a liposuction procedure.  Massaging the area with a moisturizer and wearing a compression garment can help.  Be certain the garment fits you well and doesn't get kinked.  Check back with your surgeon they should also be able to help.  Best wishes, Dr. Lepore.
