Is reducing a protruding occipital bone (with bone bossing) by several millimeters considered a safe procedure? (Photo)

JorgeD
I have read in an article/blog about plastic surgery that it possible to reduce the occipital bone by several millimeters. Is there is a safe amount of bone that can be reduced without leaving too little to protect the brain in case of impact? I am greatly considering this very soon. I also hope my question will help those searching for this. What kind of surgeon should I be looking into, and what is the price range for such as a surgery? I attached an image of a result I found. Thanks.
