My PDO thread was fine till 4 weeks after it became very painful and an abscess appeared. Is soft life a fat skin ball but I can see thread inside. The whole thread line is visible actually. My Doctor said thread lost tension and tried unsuccessfully insert 2 other threads but bump still visible. He took them off right away and sent me home without solutions. I dont want to go back because I lost my trust. What could be done?

Answer: Threadlift complication If an infection develops following a theadlift and leads to abscess development, it’s best to remove the threads completely (as your doctor did) and treat the infection with a course of antibiotics. If the thread is left insitu, the infection would likely persist and cause more scarring. Subsequently you should give time for the infection and swelling to subside and wait till healing is complete before doing any further procedures. You may consider threadlift again but I would suggest trying to find out what triggered the initial infection and take measures to avoid it. Another option to consider for skin tightening or lifting is Ultherapy or High Intensity Focused Ultrasound (HIFU) which is noninvasive and has no risk of infection.
